A Cleveland OH native has been in the food and beverage industry for the last 8 years. First working in the French quarter and later helping to open new restaurants Ryan has worked the entire FOH spectrum. His time at Stella! laid down a huge foundation of wine knowledge and steps of service. With the wine program set forth by John Mitchel plus working with well-established servers/sommeliers, he was able to be professionally taught from scratch about the world of wine. Later coming to Coquette with an above-average wine knowledge he took over the wine program in 2013.
With first level Court of Master Sommeliers certification under his belt, Ryan’s “wine guy” title is fitting. With this title, he equates himself with staff and guests as fellow wine guys & gals. He sees his staff and guests as enthusiasts and mentors. They remind him of the importance of engaging tableside. It’s there that one can really observe what our guests gravitate to or what wines staff gets excited about sharing with them. He also highly values people’s opinions and is always ready to listen to and converse with guests.
